Very large pair of ornate Meiji period Japanese bronze vases cast with various birds amongst foliage. Top section cast with a phoenix type bird possibly a ho-ho or vermillion bird.  Body cast with panels of various types of birds amongst foliage. Height approx 750mm ( 29 inches)
